Grilled Garlic Bread


  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • 1 cup of fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1 loaf of calabrese bread (crusty Italian bread), cut into ½ inch slices
  • Salt & coarsely ground black pepper


  1. Mix together the olive oil, the basil & the garlic in a bowl.
  2. Preheat Le Griddle for medium heat.
  3. Cook the bread slices on Le Griddle for 2-3 minutes until the underside is toasted.
  4. Flip bread over & baste the grilled sides with about half of the oil mixture.
  5. Grind the salt & pepper on top.
  6. Grill for another 1-2 minutes until the bottoms are toasted.
  7. Flip the bread slices over once more, baste with remaining oil mixture.
  8. Season with salt & pepper then serve up on plates.
